Biography

Dr. Nancy Pleshko is a Laura H. Carnell Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Pleshko is recognized for her research on assessment of tissues at the molecular, cellular, and structural level through application of state-of-the-art vibrational spectroscopy. She has substantial expertise in basic and translational research in connective tissue pathophysiology and orthopedics, including osteoporosis and other bone pathologies, and osteoarthritis and cartilage repair. She has over 150 publications and has received over $7 million in grant funding.
