Professor Emeritus Brian Butz and his wife, Susan, have a long history of philanthropy. As a professor, Brian demonstrated kindness towards his students and helped them discover their potential. They've established a scholarship at the College of Engineering and supported research at the College of Public Health. Their historic gift of an endowed chair position and contributions towards AI research is yet another milestone in a lifetime dedicated to philanthropic action.
